Volunteer at a competition station¶
A competition host may invite you to run band check-in or the shoutout cash station. This is different from claiming a volunteer spot on your booster calendar: the host gives your account a competition staff assignment with its own working screen.
Accept the assignment¶
- Open the personal invitation link from the host.
- Check the competition name and role on the invitation page.
- If you already have a MusterSheet account, click Sign In to Accept — with your password or with Continue with Google — and you will come right back to confirm. Sign in with the exact address the host invited; MusterSheet will not attach the role to a different account.
- If you are new, use Continue with Google or fill in the account form. Under Account Type, leave Parent / Volunteer selected — that is the right choice for running a station. Only pick Band Director if you also direct a band, which adds Band and School questions.
- Click Accept Invitation.
- Use the same account even if you are also a booster parent or officer.
After acceptance, your parent/volunteer home page shows Stations You're Staffing. The competition card lists your role and gives you a button that opens the correct station. If that competition is your only assignment, signing in takes you straight to the station screen.
Band check-in station¶
Open the station button for the competition, then follow Running the check-in station. You will verify arriving bands and their current contact/details before checking them in.
Shoutout cash station¶
Open the cash-station button, then follow Running the shoutout cash station. You will look up cash shoutout codes, mark paid messages, help with the walk-up kiosk, and reconcile the station total.
If the station is missing¶
- Confirm you accepted the invitation while signed in to the same account you are using now.
- Ask the host whether they assigned the correct email and role.
- Sign out and back in after a newly accepted invitation.
- If the assignment is correct but the station still does not appear, contact support.
Never share your password or leave a signed-in station device unattended.
