Director overview¶
As a band director, MusterSheet is where you enter competitions, handle the paperwork and payment, and get your scores and judge feedback afterward. Here's the season at a glance:
- Set up your band profile — once, at the start of the season. Your roster and member counts are what hosts use to place you in the right class.
- Find & register for a competition — browse open competitions and submit a registration.
- Pay your registration fee — online by card, or by mailed check if the host allows it.
- Before competition day — watch for your schedule, warm-up time, and the host's arrival instructions.
- Competition day — check in from your phone and follow the live schedule.
- Results & your judges packet — the moment the host publishes scores, your full packet unlocks: scores, written commentary, and audio from every judge.
Your dashboard¶
After signing in you land on your Dashboard. For a director it shows:
- Upcoming Competitions — a card for each registration, with its current status (Pending Approval, Accepted — Payment Due, Paid, and so on), the date, and your performance time once the schedule is set. On competition day the card grows a Day-of Dashboard button.
- Recently Completed — competitions where scores have been published, with a View Judges Packet button.
- A Band Profile summary card with an Edit shortcut.
- A Recent Activity feed of things that happened while you were away (acceptances, schedule postings, and so on).
Finish Setup banner
If a yellow Finish setting up your band banner appears at the top of your dashboard, click Finish Setup. It means your band profile is missing the member counts hosts need to place you in a class — five minutes now saves an email exchange with every host later.
Co-directors¶
You can share a band with other directors — an assistant director, a co-teacher, a successor. Everyone attached to the band sees the same registrations and results. See Set up your band profile for how to add one.
