Judge & announcer overview

Judges and announcers don't sign themselves up — the competition host invites you. Everything starts with an invitation link the host sends you by email or text.

If you're judging

Your whole job lives on one phone-friendly page:

1. Accept your invitation — one click, pick a password, done. Your account is created on the spot.
2. Before the show, review the lineup and where your band order stands.
3. On the day, tap Ready when you're set — the announcer can't start a performance until every judge is ready.
4. Score each performance as it happens: enter points for each caption, record a short voice commentary, and add written notes. Tap Submit Scores and the next band comes to you automatically.

You score one section — Overall Band, Percussion, Color Guard, whatever the host assigned you. You'll never see other judges' numbers, and your work ends at submission: rankings and results are the host's department.

If you're announcing

You run the rhythm of the whole day from the announcer console:

• One big button advances each band: Stage → Start Performance → Finish Performance. The button won't let you jump the gun — it waits for check-in and for the judges.
• A ready-made Announcement Script gives you the words for each band: director names, drum majors, show title.
• Between bands, you read paid fan shoutouts and vendor ads, checking each off as you go.
• At night's end, the Awards Teleprompter walks you through results band by band, award by award — in sync with your co-announcer's screen.

It's all on the web

There's nothing to install. Judge sheets and the announcer console are web pages that work on any reasonably recent phone, tablet, or laptop. A tablet is comfortable; a phone works fine.
