Your vendor profile¶
Your vendor profile is what hosts and fans see about your business. You fill it in once. MusterSheet uses it at every competition you work.
Open your profile¶
- Tap your initials (the circle at the top right).
- Tap Vendor Profile.
Write your description¶
Your description goes on your card in the On site list on each competition's event page.
- In Description, type a line or two about what you sell.
- Watch the number under the box. It says how many characters (letters, numbers, spaces and punctuation) you have left. You get 160.
- Look at the Preview under the box. It shows your card the way fans will see it. It changes as you type.
- Tap Save Profile at the bottom. (The first time, it says Create Profile.)
The host adds your booth number to your card after they approve you. Until then, your Dashboard and the event page say Booth: none assigned. Only you see that. Fans see your booth once the host adds it. If you need a booth and still don't have one, ask the host.
Description written before the limit?
If yours is longer than 160 characters, it stays as it is until you change it. The number under the box turns red and says how many characters too long it is. Shorten it to save a new one.
Write your announcer ad¶
Between bands, the announcer reads ads out loud over the speakers.
- In Announcer Ad, type what you want the announcer to say. Keep it to about 30 seconds out loud. You get 500 characters.
- Tap Save Profile.
Your ad is read at every competition that approves you. Change it here and the change reaches all of them. A host can reword your ad for their own competition. Your words on your profile stay the same.
When you apply for booth space, the application shows this ad. To change it, come back to Vendor Profile.
Add your website¶
- In Website, type your web address, such as
www.yourbusiness.com. A Facebook page works too. - Tap Save Profile.
Your card gets a Website button. Fans tap it to open your site.
Add your menu (food vendors)¶
The Menu part shows only when Business Type is Food. Your menu gets its own tab (a button with your business name) in the Concessions box on each event page. Your card gets a Menu button that opens it.
Read it from photos¶
MusterSheet can read a photo of your menu board or printed menu and type it in for you.
- Under Read a photo of your menu, choose one:
- Add to my menu puts what it reads after what's already in the box.
- Replace my menu throws out what's in the box and puts in what it reads.
- Tap the button under Menu Photos. Take a photo, or pick one or more photos you already have. A big menu can take several photos.
- Wait while it says Reading your menu…. A long menu can take a minute.
- When it's done, your items show in the Menu Text box and in the Preview.
- Check every item and price against your real menu. The reader can make mistakes. Fix anything in the Menu Text box.
- Tap Save Profile. Nothing is saved until you do.
If it can't read a photo, it says so. Try a sharper photo taken closer, or type the menu in yourself.
Type it in¶
-
In Menu Text, type one item per line with its price at the end, like this:
Food: Hot dog $4 Nachos $5 Drinks: Sweet tea $3A line that ends in a colon (
:), like Drinks:, is a heading. Prices are optional. Two sizes can share a line, like
Funnel cake small $6 / large $9. So can a deal, likeWater 2 for $5. Put a$in front of each price. -
Look at the Preview under the box. It shows your tab the way fans will see it. If something is wrong, it says which line to fix.
- Tap Save Profile.
Warning
If you change Business Type from Food to something else and save, your menu is deleted.
Check your application¶
- On your Dashboard, under My Vendor Applications, tap the competition's name. Its event page opens.
- Look at the box near the top. Its title tells you where you stand:
- Vending at this event? means you haven't applied yet. Tap Apply for booth space to apply.
- Your vendor application with Pending means the host hasn't decided yet. You get a notification when they do.
- Your vendor application with Declined means the host said no. Their reason shows under it, if they gave one.
- You're vending here means you're approved. Your booth number shows once the host adds it.
If you're approved but your profile is missing your description, your announcer ad or (for food vendors) your menu, the box has a Finish your profile button. Tap it to fill those in.
