At the stadium

Everything a fan needs on competition day fits in one guide. No account, no app — just your phone's web browser and the QR code at the gate.

Step 1: Scan the QR code

As you come through the gate, look for the MusterSheet QR poster — hosts post them at the entrance, the concession stand, and around the stands. Point your phone's camera at it and tap the link that pops up.

A welcome page appears — "You're checked in!" — with big buttons for the two things you'll use all day:

  • Live Schedule — who's performing now and who's next.
  • Send a Shoutout — a personal message read over the PA.

Scan it even if you don't need it yet

At many events, scanning the gate code is what unlocks shoutout-sending and Fan Favorite voting on your phone. One scan on the way in and you're set for the night — no need to walk back to the gate later.

Missed the poster? The live schedule link also gets shared by hosts and directors — any copy of it works. But some features (shoutouts, voting) may ask you to scan the gate code first.

Step 2: Follow the live schedule

The schedule page keeps itself up to date while it's open — the band currently performing is highlighted Now Performing, the next band shows On Deck, and finished bands get a check mark. Breaks and the awards block appear right in the list. Host announcements — weather, schedule changes — banner across the top the moment they're posted.

If the host sells tickets through a platform like GoFan, you'll also see a Get Tickets button on the schedule page, and the host's Weather / Refund Policy if they've published one — worth a glance on a cloudy day.

Step 3: Send a shoutout

A shoutout is a short message ("Go get 'em, Emma! Love, Mom & Dad") the announcer reads over the PA between performances. It costs a few dollars and supports the event.

  • Pay by card — fill in the form, choose Card, and pay on a secure checkout page from your phone.
  • Pay with cash — choose Cash and you'll get a big 6-digit code. Take your phone and your cash to the shoutout table, show the volunteer the code, hand over the money, and your message joins the announcer's queue. (The table also takes walk-ups — the volunteer hands you a tablet to type your message right there.)

Vote for Fan Favorite

Some competitions run a Fan Favorite award — the audience picks it, not the judges.

If it's on, you'll see the voting option right on the live schedule:

  1. Watch a band perform.
  2. Tap the vote button next to their name once they've finished.
  3. Changed your mind after a later band blows you away? Vote again — your new vote replaces your old one. You get one vote, but you can move it as many times as you like until the awards ceremony begins.

The winner is announced at the awards ceremony along with the judged awards. (Voting uses the same gate check-in as shoutouts, so scan the QR code at the gate first — one vote per person.)

After awards: results

When the ceremony ends and the host publishes scores, the competition's public results page goes live — every band's rank and rating within its class, plus any perpetual-trophy history. Numeric scores aren't public; those go privately to each band's director.

One more thing — silence your ringer

You'll have your phone out all day. The bands worked all season for their eight minutes; keep notifications quiet during performances.
