Tickets & policies

Two small Settings-tab fields save you a hundred day-of questions: where fans buy tickets, and what happens if the weather turns.

Most schools sell gate admission through a ticketing platform — GoFan, S2 Pass, and the like. MusterSheet doesn't sell tickets, but it will point your fans to the place that does:

  1. On the Settings tab, find the Ticket Link field and paste your event's ticketing page address (for example, https://gofan.co/app/school/...).
  2. Fill in the Platform Label — the platform's name, like "GoFan".
  3. Save Changes.

A Get Tickets button (reading, say, Get Tickets on GoFan) now appears on your public competition page and on the fan-facing live schedule, opening your ticketing page in a new tab.

Display-only

This is a link, nothing more. Ticket sales, prices, and refunds all happen on the ticketing platform — MusterSheet doesn't connect to it or see any of its money.

Publish a weather / refund policy

Outdoor event, autumn weather — every director signing up wants to know: what happens to my fee if the day washes out? Write it down once instead of answering it forty times:

  1. On the Settings tab, find the Weather / Refund Policy box.
  2. Write your policy in plain sentences — for example: "In case of inclement weather, registration fees will be refunded or credited toward next year's event at the director's choice."
  3. Save Changes.

Your policy then appears, word for word:

  • To directors — on the competition page, right above the registration form, so every band registers with eyes open.
  • To fans — on the public schedule page.

The policy is a promise, not a mechanism

Publishing the policy doesn't automate anything — if the day does go sideways, you still issue any refunds yourself (see Getting paid online for card payments). The field's job is making sure nobody is surprised.
